GENERAL PRIVACY POLICY

Competitors App is managed by, and the property of Competitors App SRL (hereinafter referred to as competitors.app or We).  We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of personal and financial information, and we have instituted strict policies and security measures to protect the information you provide us.  

This Privacy Policy applies when you access or navigate on competitors.app without subscribing to our service, when you register on competitors.app and when you use our services. We provide services to individuals as well as to legal entities. By accessing or using the services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. 

From the 25th of May of 2018, our Privacy standards are defined according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and with its compliance referring to all the company’s settled within the EU.

WHAT INFORMATION DOES COMPETITORS APP COLLECT?

We collect your personal data when you sign up on competitors.app. The information you provide us while using competitors.app is necessary for the use of the services. 

We ask for and collect the following personal information about you when you use the Services:

Account Information. When you sign up for the Services you create a user account, we require certain information such as your first name, last name and email address.

Affiliate information. If you participate in our Affiliate program we require to provide us with personal information (such as first name, last name) to fulfill our legal obligations to you.

Information you provide through our support channels. The Services also include customer support, where you may send any questions regarding the Services. If you speak to one of our representatives directly, by email or otherwise engage with our support team, you will be asked to provide contact information, a summary of the problem and any other information necessary to solve the issue.

If you use our Paid Services we need the following information:

We need to collect the following information, as it is necessary for the adequate performance of the contract with you and to comply with applicable law (such as anti-money laundering regulations). Each time we collect sensitive information (e.g. credit card data), this information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way.  Without it, you will not be able to use our Paid Services:

Payment Information. When you use the Paid Services, we require certain financial information (like your credit card information) to process payments and comply with applicable law.

Identity Verification and Other Information. In some cases (for example, if you request to refund fees you paid) we may ask to provide us the following information: your billing information (name, transaction ID, last 4 digits of the credit card associated with the account, billing date, etc.), email address, login name. We also may require to provide us with identity verification information (such as images of your passport, national ID card) or other authentication information to verify your identity.

This information is necessary for the adequate performance of the contract between you and us and to allow us to comply with our legal obligations. Without it, we may not be able to provide you with all the requested services (including the use of the Services itself). We retain your account information until you delete your competitors.app Account. 

When logging in, we may require providing access to your profile in social networks (as LinkedIn, Google +). You are the only person who decides if you would like to provide this access and choose the login method.

AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES

When you use the service, we automatically collect information, including personal information, about the service you use and how you use it. This information is necessary for the adequate performance of the contract between you and us, to enable us to comply with legal obligations and given our legitimate interest in being able to provide and improve the functionalities of the service.

Connection Information. We collect information about your behavioral while using competitors.app. This information includes your frequency of using competitors.app, IP address. We use your IP address and/or country preference to approximate your location to provide you with a better Service experience and to fulfill our legal and fiscal obligations.

Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies and other similar technologies. 

HOW WE USE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We use, store, and process information, including personal information, about you to provide, improve, and develop competitors.app, create and maintain a trusted and safer environment and comply with our legal obligations.

  • Enable you to access and use the Services. (manage your account; manage our business)
  • Operate, protect, improve, and optimize the Services and experience, such as by performing analytics and conducting research. Subject to our contract with you we process this information either manually or by computer.
  • Provide you customer service: to resolve technical issues you meet, to respond to your requests for assistance, to analyze crash information, and to repair and improve the Services.
  • Send you service or support messages, updates, security alerts, and account notifications.
  • Send you newsletters (including information about competitors.app campaigns; updates; new features etc.). You can opt-out of receiving marketing communications from us by following the unsubscribe instructions included in our marketing communications.
  • Enable you to access and use the Paid Services.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.

DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH OTHERS?

We do not sell, rent or disclose our client’s names, email addresses or other personal information, except for the internal services or third parties we use to provide a better service (like CRM, email software, …). We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties unless we are required to do so by law or in connection with a legal claim or proceeding. If competitors.app is acquired by another entity or is merged or consolidated, information about competitors.app customers may be made available to the new entity. However, the new entity will agree to protect the confidentiality of your personal information consistent with this privacy policy. 

When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email or home address. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email or home addresses. Under the GDPR Law (General Data Protection Regulation), you have the right to:

Know what personal data of yours we are processing, where that data came from and how we are using that data

Request the update and correction of the data we hold about you

Ask us to supply the personal data we hold about you in an easy readable electronic format, or transfer that data direct to a third party nominated by you.
